A. PayPal is an online service for sending and receiving funds. With it, you can send money to anyone with an email address, instantly. Now you can send money from home, work, even your mobile phone from anywhere in the world plus it has a sophisticated paper trail tracking technology.

A. Yes! You can sign up for a PayPal account for free, and there’s no charge to transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account. If you use a credit or debit card, a small percentage fee is deducted from your payment on the receiving end, and does not cost you anything.
Q. Why should I give online?
A. Online giving is a personal preference based on a variety of factors. Some reasons we frequently hear include: – It’s a step of faith. I decide in advance to give faithfully. – It helps simplify my life–no trying to remember if I’ve already given. – It allows me to give consistently, even when I’m not at church.
Q: Can I schedule recurring donations?
A. Yes, you can specify the frequency of your contribution: one time, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. You can schedule as many contributions as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one.
Q: I clicked the “Give Online” button and nothing happened. What should I do?
A. When you click this button, a new browser window is opened. If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, or Pop-Up Stopper, the window will not open. Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups on a specific web site. If you have further problems, consult the PayPal customer service department
Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
A. You can see your record of online giving by viewing the Contribution History box. This will show each donation you made, when you made it, and a year-to-date total. We also send year-end statements directly to your home address.
Q: Can I use my debit card or credit card?
A. Yes, as long as it’s MasterCard or Visa.
Q: Can I use an electronic check?
A. No. Not recommended
Q. How does Online Giving Work?
A. Click the donate button above. Type the amount you wish to send. Click continue and follow the PayPal instructions / prompts
Q. Does online giving require some extra fees or costs?
A. Not to you. The full amount that you choose to donate goes to MCM Worship Center. There is a small fee to the church for the processing of credit and debit cards.
Q. Why do they ask me for my address and other information?
A. This information is needed to confirm that your debit, credit, or bank information really belongs to you. It also is the information that the ministry needs in order to make sure that your year-end contribution statement gets to you for your tax purposes.
Q. How is my contribution documented?
A. The ministry receives notification via email every time you make a contribution online. Using the address information you provide, your contribution is recorded in our records. You will also receive a receipt email from PayPal that you should keep.
Q. Does online giving put my sensitive financial information at risk?
A. Online giving is actually less risky than handwritten checks. An online transaction cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed in the mail. Web-based giving through PayPal has an extremely high rate of accuracy and safety. It is also easier for ministry’s accounting processes. When you give through PayPal, the ministry does NOT see your sensitive details like your debit card or bank account number.
