Before we can look at the laws of increase and protection, I want to preface this teaching by saying that there are three spheres of existence that are functioning in the earth today.
- There is the kingdom of God, which operates under spiritual law.
- Then there’s the kingdom of Satan, which operates under lawlessness, meaning no-law – iniquity and
- Finally, there’s the kingdom of this world which operates under natural law.
We need to understand that for us to prosper and succeed in this life, we’re going to have to operate according to the laws of the kingdom of God; that is, spiritual law.
The world’s way of doing things is based completely on natural law. When they need money, they borrow it. When they get sick, they use medicine. When they make decisions, they lean on their intellectual intuition. And although none of these things are wrong in themselves, it’s not the way the kingdom of God works.
Because you and I are not of this world, we need to learn how to operate according to the laws of the kingdom of God. Let’s begin looking at some principles of operating in spiritual law. We’ll start by looking at a familiar passage of Scripture in the Amplified Bible.
Matthew 6:33 declares
“But seek ([a]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([b]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things ([c]taken together will be given you besides”.
Notice it says that we are to seek FIRST His kingdom and His righteousness and then all these things will be given to you. What things? In the previous verses we see that Jesus was talking about the necessities of life: food, shelter, and clothing. In other words, YOUR NEEDS!
We all can agree that everybody wants the most we can get out of life
3rd John 2 (KJV)
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (KJV)
3rd John 2 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
God’s desire for those who dwell in His kingdom
- To prosper financially,
- To be good health and
- To have good relationships.
Together with increasing as stated, man also desires
- Protection over his/her property and
- Personal protection from harm
God’s plan as in Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome”.
Before we go further, we need to understand that what God has spoken forth is designed to come to pass. Isaiah 55:11 states clearly.
“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”.
Psalms 138:2
“I will worship toward Thy holy temple and praise Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth, for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name (KJV)”.
God has magnified and exalted His Word above all His Name. … When we talk of the Laws of God’s Kingdom, we are speaking of Rules which people who are in the God’s Kingdom (born again Christians) must obey or follow. The Rules instruct and command us on how things must be done, or the things that are allowed in it.
Today and during this series of messages, we shall be talking about what God is offering to his people in His Kingdom, how to acquire it and maintain it while you are in this world.
While God has made it clear that He wants to increase us and give us more, the Laws of Increase teach us how to increase and receive protection God’s way.
The Bible spells out clearly in Isaiah 55:8-9 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
“8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts”.
The following are the seven laws of increase according to the Bible
