The Bible says in Proverbs 11:30; “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” Here at Missions for Christ Ministries (MCM), we count it a great privilege to reach out, win souls and disciple them to follow Jesus Christ. We desire to reach out to our family members, our neighbors, workmates and those in the market places with the gospel (good news) of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
In Mark 16:15-16′ Jesus said unto His disciples; “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
John 3:16 declares; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN…
There is much confusion in the world today concerning how to get to Heaven. The Word of God clears up the matter—there is only ONE WAY to Heaven, and that way is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:10-12; 10:43).
2 Corinthians 5:11 declares; “It is a terrifying thing to die in one’s sins and stand trial before God . . “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
THE STATE OF MAN WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST
- “All people are sinners and lost in their sin” Romans 3:10
- “They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:12
- “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Ecclesiastes 7:20
- “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” Isaiah 64:6
- “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6
What must I do to be saved?
- First you must admit that there is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said in John 15:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” Good works cannot save you. Ephesians 2:8-9 declares; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
- Secondly, admit you that you are a sinner in need of a savior. Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” 1 John 1:10 “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
- Finally, if you truly believe what God’s Word says about sin and the need for a savior, you can pray the following prayer of salvation and mean it from your heart.
Prayer of salvation
“Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that you sent Jesus Christ to die at the cross who shed His precious blood for my sins. I also believe that on the third day that He rose from the death and He is now alive forevermore. I ask you now Lord Jesus to forgive me of all my sins. I invite you Lord Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me today and for writing my names in the Book of life. I purpose to live for you now forever more. In Jesus Name I pray this prayer”. Amen!
Now that you have received him, you have become a new creation. The Bible declares there in John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” 2 Corinthians 5:17 also says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
What to do next..
- If you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior, as a Christian you should:1. Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better. Hebrews 10:25 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” Timothy 2:15 says; “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Psalms 119:105 says; “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Matthew 21:22 says; “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Philippians 4:6 – “Be careful for-nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God
- Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church
where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority. Hebrews 10:25 declares “Not forsaking
the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. “Matthew 28:19 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” - 2 Timothy 3:16 “Tell others about Christ… Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” 1 Corinthians 9:16 “For though I preach the
gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto
me, if I preach not the gospel!” Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.
