Understanding how the kingdom truth overrules the earthly facts

First, we need to understand that THE TRUTH and FACTS are not the same based on Heavenly Kingdom principles. Now it may refer to the same thing according to earthly narratives but they’re totally different when referring to the God’s Kingdom principles. Unfortunately, many believers experience problems because they see them as being the same thing regardless. This is a lie from the devil, and it can be dangerous and even fatal! So, let us define these two one by one.

What is a FACT?

A fact can be described as a real and valid physical manifestation which is associated with this physical world in which we live. Example a sickness or disease. There are many today who hold to the belief that if some situation is a proven FACT, it’s totally unchangeable and nothing can change it in any way! They’re convinced that it represents an unchangeable truth, regardless of any expertise solution that is offered or suggestions. In other words, they’re stuck with this situation and that’s all there is to it! There’s no use even discussing it any further.

At one time doctors told a lady and her husband and I that they could not have children after a series of miscarriages. They had stood on the promises of God, and they knew they could not deny the report from the doctors but at the same time they knew what the Word of God -TRUTH said. “By His stripes we are healed” (1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5).

They kept on declaring the TRUTH instead of the doctor’s report. In matter of time, Jesus Christ who is the TRUTH came on the scene and healed the wife and now they have grown healthy children. What did they do different? They stood on the truth of God’s Word and the truth overturned the facts. Glory to God!

What is this TRUTH?

In the 17th chapter of the Gospel of John when Jesus was praying to the Father about the disciples whom the Father had given Him, Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them with thy TRUTH: thy WORD is TRUTH.” We must understand that the truth is God’s living and written WORD. It’s spiritual in nature. It’s from above and it always carries a greater authority and power than any natural fact the enemy can present. In Matthew 24:35 Jesus also said, “Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My Words (TRUTH) shall not pass away”. Jesus also said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life.” (PLEASE READ THE WHOLE OF JOHN CHAPTER ONE).

Over two thousand years ago Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. That’s not physically possible – it’s just not possible for a virgin to give birth to a child without a man or physical intimacy. That’s a physical fact and we cannot deny it. But guess what? The spiritual TRUTH took authority over that physical fact and changed it into a physical reality. Amen!

The virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, “the anointed One” became a reality and is now one of the foundational truths of Christianity. I believe this one event alone is overwhelming proof that TRUTH can change FACTS. What about the parting of the Red Sea? What about Jesus turning the water into wine? What about all the healing that Jesus performed along with calling Lazarus back to life?

The Bible speaks of many events where physical facts were altered or changed by God’s Word – which is the Truth. Why are you letting circumstances dictate your destiny in Christ Jesus? Our Heavenly Father is the one who has promised you a good life. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. John 10:10 (b) declare that Jesus has come that you may have life (NOT DEATH) and have it more abundantly.

While most believers would say that they put the Word of God first and that they give the Word of God first place in their lives, their words and actions betray them and reveal what’s really in their hearts! We’ve all heard someone say, “I just don’t know why I’m having all these physical problems, and why I’m not doing any better”. Well, they’ve either forgotten or maybe they were never taught, “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21a).

Maybe the reason they’re having so many physical problems is because of what they’ve said in the past. The words they’ve said in the past created their present.

What was it they said in the past? Probably something like, “Well, you know, my Daddy had heart trouble and my old uncle John had heart trouble and Grandpa had heart trouble too – I guess heart trouble must run in our family, so I imagine one of these days I’ll have heart trouble too.” After saying this for a while, it becomes embedded into their belief system. Then when heart trouble knocked on their door and came their way, they really weren’t too surprised. Why?

Because they were expecting it! Just like you and I expect the daybreak and nightfall, they expected heart trouble to show up.

You see, they believed the FACTS and doubted the Word of God. They even talked the FACTS. They chose to give FACTS the preeminence over TRUTH. All the while never realized what they were doing. Sure enough, in due time, what they believed and spoke worked to create and bring about the reality of heart trouble into their lives.

Brethren, I know this is a little strong, but God wants us to Trust His Word – The TRUTH. Only the TRUTH (God’s Word) has the capability to change the facts presented to you right now. It is NOT too late to reverse the words of doubt and unbelief spoken over your family. Start declaring God’s Word today in your life and you will experience great victories. Amen!

How to appropriate the TRUTH to change the FACTS

There is ONLY one way to appropriate the TRUTH to change the FACTS and that is

to fill ourselves with the God’s Word -TRUTH daily. We must exercise the same thing God told Joshua there in Joshua chapter 1:8; “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” It’s a matter of maturing spiritually and that won’t happen overnight any more than maturing physically happens overnight.

Most of us have never spiritually matured to the point where we can be as successful in this life as we ought to be. Before you can appropriate the TRUTH, you must understand its hindrances and how to deal with them.

The four main hindrances to the TRUTH

  • Lack of knowledge of God’s Word:

Word deficiency: Hosea 4:6(a); “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:”. Being Word deficient will cause us problems when it comes to receiving answers from God. Many times, there are things we might be mature enough to pray for, but not mature enough to receive. When a believer is deficient in the Word, then he or she is much more likely to end up conforming to the World and its ways, which of course, brings much tribulation. Proverbs 4:20-23 says, “My son, attend to my Words (TRUTH); incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them (My Words TRUTH) not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart (spirit). For they – my words are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep (guard) thy heart with all diligence; for out of it (the heart) are the issues of life”.

  • Unbelief:

Jesus Himself could NOT do any mighty works in his own town because of their unbelief. Mark 6: 5-6 “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folks, and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief”. Unbelief will cost you the blessings of God.

  • Man’s Intellect:

You have most likely heard someone very intellectually state, “Well, you know, we need to remember that God has given us common sense and He expects us to use it and quit bothering Him about every little thing?” True, but unfortunately in most cases that is an excuse for failing to walk according to their spirit.

That person is simply trying to justify their walking according to their flesh! Man’s spirit and man’s flesh are at odds constantly with each other (Galatians 5:17). We need to understand the nature and character of God. Jeremiah 9:23 says, “let not the rich men glory in his wisdom nor the mighty in his might but let him who glory in this that he understandeth God.”

  • Trust Issue:

Many Christians don’t fully trust their Heavenly Father. They question Him every time a situation does not work their way. Proverbs 3:5-6 declares “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”. What we speak under pressure can easily determine the end results of a situation. Proverbs 6:2 declare, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thy art taken with the words of thy mouth”. Proverbs 18:21 also says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

What are we saying after we left the sick person’s presence? Are we saying something like, “Oh my! It looks like if God doesn’t intervene in this situation, he’s not likely to make the night”; “Boy, doesn’t he look bad?” And then we’d probably hear another person agreeing with us and saying, “Man! Isn’t that the truth?”

It looks to me like he’s got one foot in the grave already. Well, what am I saying? I’m saying that we were looking at and considering the FACTS. And because we were, our speech literally gave permission for the FACTS to have the preeminence over the TRUTH. Please understand I am NOT saying we have all the answers as to why people live or die. God alone has all the answers, but we must do our part by understanding our responsibility and appropriating it according to the scriptures. Once we have done our part according to God’s Word, then we stand rejoicing no matter the end results.

The believers who make up the Body of Christ today (the Church) have been given both divine authority and divine power to accomplish everything that God wants to be accomplished here on Earth. But, up to now, we haven’t been very successful at it because we haven’t been placing our trust in the TRUTH and allowing it to change the FACTS! We’ve been putting our trust in the FACTS!

Another big lie that the devil has promoted and sold to the Church is that people don’t experience divine healing because they don’t have enough faith or even a crazier opinion that healing passed away when the last disciple died. First, the Bible says in Romans 12:3 that every child of God has been given the same measure of faith. At one point, the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith (Luke 17:5-6). Jesus answered them and said, (and this is a paraphrase) “You don’t need more faith…”

It’s strictly a matter of using the faith you have right now or not using it! All you need to do is to release your faith by speaking God’s Word forth which is THE TRUTH. Your faith in God’s Word released, can move mountains. On the second note, the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 18:8).

John 14:12 declares; “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” Praise God! I am glad that it includes the works that Jesus and His disciples did while they were on the earth.

Speak the TRUTH only!

Brothers and Sisters TRUTH will change the FACTS. If sickness and disease attack our body and the doctor tells us there’s no hope, assuming he has not made a mistake, then we have a FACT. We then present it to God in prayer knowing what the TRUTH says. What does the TRUTH say? The stripes that Jesus bore on His body healed us 2000 years ago. And since the provision for our healing was paid in full back then, we remain healed today (1 Peter 2:24).

Sickness, disease, and poverty are devil’s packages according to John10:10.

These are not from God because Jesus prayer in Matthew 6:10 was that God’s will would be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Sickness, diseases and poverty don’t exist in heaven and therefore we cannot accept them in our lives.

Conclusion

1) Develop trust in your Heavenly Father by spending time in His presence and in His Word every day.

2) Speak God’s Word to every circumstance that is facing you in the name of Jesus.

3) Do not allow words of doubt and unbelief in your heart. (Please read Psalms 103:2)
